Summer Series: Matthew Dion & Heather Kirkconnell

The Summer Series continues with Matthew Dion and Heather Kirkconnell. As always, admission is free (donations accepted). 

Matthew Dion is an organist, pianist, and baritone from Somerset, Massachusetts. He is a junior at Somerset Berkley Regional High School where he is the resident accompanist for the choirs as well as president of the drama department. Outside of school, Matt has studied organ with Madeline Grace and Piano with Erik Thompson. He currently studies organ with Dr. Steven Young, AAGO. Matthew is a 2015-16 recipient of the YOI (Young Organists Initiative) Scholarship from the Boston Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Matthew serves as organist and cantor at Saint Louis DeFrance Church in Swansea MA. He maintains an active membership with the Southeastern Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Bos- ton Chapters of the American Guild of Organists. His other interests include driving, traveling, visiting with friends, audio/music/video production, and eating at various restaurants.

Heather Kirkconnell is Director of Music and Organist at Grace Episcopal Church in Newton MA. Originally from Gainesville, FL, Heather received her undergraduate degrees in French, Organ and Historical Perfor- mance at Oberlin College and Conservatory before moving to Paris, France. There, she studied at the Conservatoire de Versailles under Jean-Baptiste Robin. Her previous teachers include Jack Mitchener, Marie-Louise Lang- lais, Webb Wiggins and Lisa Crawford. She is currently studying with Christian Lane.
