Chris Porter

Chris Porter

Adrian Cho is currently a graduate student at Harvard University, where he combines his passion for music and science to pursue a Ph.D. in Speech and Hearing Biosciences and Technology. In addition to organ music, Cho has a particular love for the voice and currently sings with the University Choir at Harvard. Cho likes to relax by playing board or computer games, throwing a frisbee, and reading about almost anything.

Chris Porter first played the organ at the age of one, when he crawled on a live pedal board in the middle of the pastor's sermon. He studied piano for twelve years starting at age six, but it was not until decades later that he decided to take another crack at the organ. He currently substitutes at his home church of University Lutheran in Cambridge, as well as at other Lutheran churches in the greater Boston area. When he is not playing the organ, Chris works as a consultant at Cambridge Systematics, a transportation planning firm. He also sings with the Cambridge Chamber Singers and with the UniLu choir. He enjoys hiking, biking, and photography. His mother, Emily Maxson Porter, is a retired Lutheran church organist and composer.
